Gregory R. Keith is president of Professional heuristic Development, a regulatory consulting firm specializing in design law. Mr. Keith has successfully defended alternative designs for a number of significant projects throughout the country. He has authored numerous code changes over the past two decades including the new means of egress provisions incorporated in the 1997 Uniform Building Code. Having been a frontline participant in the national code process, he has a unique understanding of the "system" of code compliance. Mr. Keith is heavily involved in the development of the 2000 International Building Code and the International Code Council's building and fire performance codes.
